As with any business that is seeking to grow and stand out in an increasingly competitive market, RGS realised they must focus their efforts to raise both the company’s digital profile and brand. Upon conducting our initial digital marketing report, the Lilac Team quickly understood that RGS lacked basic on page organic optimisation. For the best sustainable, long term result they really needed to focus on their organic position.
The Lilac team quickly sprang into action, conducting full keyword research that uncovered numerous national keywords with high search levels. These included pre-printed sheet labels, specialist labels and digital labels for packaging among others.
These keywords were teeming with the possibility of driving traffic to their site, including long tail keywords that were specifically relevant to the company’s objectives. Maximising the long tail keyword is a technique used to match sophisticated multi keyword searches made for a distinct service.
We then allocated relevant keywords to pages that best suited the users’ intent. By doing this Google will deliver the optimised page with the relevant content that suits searchers’ needs. Also, we looked to optimise HTML code including meta tags, H1’s, page URL’s, and page copy to assist the overall SEO strategy. This enabled Google to fully understand the website and improve organic rankings.
Due to the growing competition in the industry and other companies choosing to invest in their digital marketing for many years, we informed Darren that securing page one results would not happen overnight. Latterly, we recommended daily social media output to increase awareness in their target market and further improve site traffic.
