Ravencourt Case Study
Ravencourt is a UK family owned company that designs, manufactures and supplies an extensive range of products. They stock everything from school lab equipment to school clocks and classroom clocks as well as living aids for dementia and Alzheimer’s patients.
When Ravencourt came to us they were running their business under two different brands; Ravencourt and Thoughtfully Designed, which they wanted to consolidate so everything was under the Ravencourt umbrella. Ravencourt supplied all of their school products while Thoughtfully Designed sold all of their lighting and living aids products for those with dementia or Alzheimer’s including their popular dementia day clocks.
This project kicked off with a meeting with our graphic designer to discuss how we could revitalise the Ravencourt brand and to plan the website redesign. In addition to a complete website redesign we built an entirely bespoke ecommerce WordPress website complete with SagePay implementation to incorporate the merging of their two brands. Not forgetting the crucial 301 redirect strategy in order to maintain any of the authority they had gained on their original Ravencourt and Thoughtfully Designed websites.
We also undertook an extensive on page optimisation project, we carried out full and in-depth keyword research to ensure we took advantage of every possibility optimising pages from product categories right down to the products themselves.
So what has been achieved since the brand new redesigned Ravencourt website went live in March?
- 53 brand new positions due to the new keywords that we discovered in our keyword research phase.
- Improved positions of 33 keywords so that they now appear on page one.
- An instant increase in traffic to the website
