Not every business needs SEO but for some businesses it’s absolutely vital if you want to be successful.
When it comes to Osteopathy, and other businesses that almost exclusively supply to the local community, their target customers will generally either find them by referral or via SEO.
The reason being is that when someone is in pain, they will soon hit the search engines to find solutions to their problem. There will also be a pre-existing level of demand in the local community and you can either be on page 1 to capture that demand, or you can leave it for your competitors.
It’s the same for so many other businesses, consider the recent storms across the UK. People will be looking for people to help them with a range of their immediate problems such as Roof Repairs, Fence Damage, Greenhouse Glass, Water Damage, Broken Windows and more…
Last year Chatteris Osteopaths came to Lilac James after finding us on Google, they were in the middle of a new website build and wanted to ensure it was best optimised for search engines.
We took Chatteris Osteopaths Managing Director Lee Harvey through our normal process, we looked into his sector, conducted competitor analysis, considered his ideal custom avatar and had a deep think about client’s online behaviours.
Keyword research revealed there was a strong level of keyword demand for his products and services. Some of these keywords, such as ‘Osteopath in Ely’ had lower search demand of approximately 70 searches per month whilst other local areas had higher search demand. We subsequently optimised their website for all local areas with significant search demand, prioritising the highest demand and working backwards.
We recommended an on-page SEO project to ensure Chatteris Osteopaths' new website was built from the ground up with exceptional SEO in mind in order that they can capture key search demand not just within Chatteris but also within other large population centres nearby such as Ely, Huntingdon, Wisbech, March, St. Ives and Whittlesey.
We completed keyword allocation, ensuring the pages with the highest page authority were targeted towards the highest search traffic keywords.
We then built specific landing pages firstly to differentiate the services offered by Chatteris Osteopaths and then secondly to differentiate the issues Chatteris Osteopaths solves for their clients.
These included pages for Back Pain, Sports Injuries and Neck Pain, amongst others and the page creation was led by the identified search demand.
Adopting this strategy ensures that Chatteris Osteopath’s website and web pages are highly specialised towards the identified search demand so search engines such as Google are in absolutely no doubt that Chatteris Osteopaths' various web pages are the best thing to be delivered to its searchers.
